Classroom Rules and Regulations

  1. We are always respectful to each other.

Rationale: The students should treat each other as they want to be treated. During the first week of school, we will discuss these rules every day. So students will know what is expected from them in my classroom all year.

  2. We always say please and thank you.

Rationale: Children need to learn how to be polite and have proper manners when communicating to others. Saying please and thank you is such an easy way to be respectful to others around you.

  3. We always walk in the classroom and hallways.

Rationale: Students don’t need to injure themselves or others by running throughout the classroom or halls.

  4. We always ask questions.

Rationale: I don’t want my students to be afraid to ask any questions. This will help the teacher know what the students need to work on during class.

  5. We always try our best!

Rationale: Students should always feel encouraged to do their best work and be the best person they can be. Since this is a classroom rule, they will be reminded that I want them to succeed in everything they do.
